An alumnus from Puyallup Washington Butler was interested in performing arts as she grew in her teens. She was a performer in schools and at community theater. Then she moved into Los Angeles in order to learn in the University of Southern California and then played Belle the princess for one and a half years in Disneyland. Her decision to leave college was to locate an agent to represent her talents who would let her audition for television and films. Butler was a guest on the TV show CSI: Miami and CSI: NY.She was cast in the movie A Couple of White Chicks at the Hair Dresser and in the 2008 Syfy TV horror film Flu Bird Horror. The web series Luke 11-17, directed by Don Stark, featured her in a role. She also had a recurring character on the series I Like Vampires.Butler won the lead in the 2010 rape and crime thriller I Spit on Your Grave which is a remake from the 1978 famous film of the same name. At first, she was put off by its violence and nudity but the character development and feminist angle helped to convince her. Butler played Jennifer Hills, a writer who gets assaulted by a group in a forest. The character is determined to get revenge against the perpetrators. Steven R. Monroe helmed the film, which came out on October 8th, 2010. Butler started filming The Stranger Within (a psychological thriller) in Mallorca, Spain, along with Estella Ward as well as William Baldwin back in November 2011. The film was originally planned to be shot the film in Copenhagen Denmark, New York City and New York City as well. Butler played in The Demented 2013, a horror film with Michael Welch and KaylaEwell.
